The glow of a Lagiacrus's shockspikes are proportional to the amount of electricity they gradually store while attacking. Notably, a brightly glowing shockspike when they are submerged is a good indicator that an intense electrical attack is soon to follow. Attacking and destroying the shockspike has proven to be an effective countermeasure for reducing Lagiacrus's ability to build electric charge, and should be prioritized.

Leviathans that exist atop the vast aquatic food chain. Lagiacrus generate electricity via their hides to store in their spinal organs, and are capable of discharging a current strong enough to boil the seawater around them. They have been sighted fighting other monsters in the Scarlet Forest, presumably drawn in from other regions in search of prey and more fertile environs.
